Jeremy is an Enterprise Architect focused on designing secure and scalable solutions. He has a broad background in designing and supporting both cloud and on-premises systems. Jeremy’s past experiences include working with Microsoft technologies in complex environments ranging from SMB hospitality to EDU to multi-national manufacturing companies. In his downtime he enjoys cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, trying new beers, eating great food, and experiencing new adventures.

Matt Varney, Intranet Administrator KCTCS

Matt Varney is a technology architect specializing in enterprise IT strategy and solutions. Matt is the Intranet Administrator for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and its 8,000 employees. His 18 years of technology experience has made him an expert in both the technical and organizational aspects of IT. He likes nuts-and-bolts work like SharePoint farm and Office 365 administration, but he also enjoys creating the business process and people conditions necessary for effective implementations. With an emphasis on the big picture, Matt is at his best when working with employee groups and teams, helping them find hidden value in the processes and digital artifacts they thought they knew. On a personal note, he’s a fan of fine bourbon, winning basketball and horse racing.

He started managing 400 desktops and laptops with the predecessor to SCCM (ConfigMgr), SMS in 1998. He’s worked for small and large companies over the years always managing desktops and/or the ConfigMgr infrastructure itself. He has also worked for several Midwest consulting companies doing both CM architectures as well as running Windows XP, 7, 8.1 and 10 migrations for companies small and medium.
